Take The Living Trust Quiz
Regardless of your situation, we can help.
Our estate planning practice is led by Andrew Garcia, who is in his second marriage and part of a blended family (after living together for a number of years with his current wife). As a result, we understand the challenges that our clients face, particularly those who are not in a “traditional” relationship with a first marriage couple.
You Define What Family Means to You
Our Family Legal Planning services are focused on the family – your family.
Today, the definition of family for many people goes beyond the traditional definition. “Family” can include children from prior marriages or cohabitating relationships , step-children and step-parents, those currently in committed but unmarried relationships, those in same sex marriages or relationships, and many other situations.
Your “family” is made up of the people and loved ones based on your definition. Our role is to help you protect your assets for yourself and for your family – in whatever way you define it.
Providing the Services You Need
We offer the following services:
- Protecting Your Assets in the Event of a Medical Emergency. In estate planning, individuals commonly focus on wills and what happens to their assets after death. We additionally want to focus on helping individuals protect their assets in the event of an unforeseen medical emergency in which a person may not be able to make their wishes known. Learn how Health Care Proxies, Massachusetts Living Wills and Durable Powers of Attorney are critical to protecting your assets.
- Medicaid Planning. The law allows opportunities for various asset structuring that can be used to help preserve assets in the event that a person may need nursing home care. Commonly referred to as “Medicaid Planning,” such structuring must typically be done well in advance (typically 5 years) before Medicaid is needed in order to have the best opportunity for protection. Learn how you may be able to better protect your assets from being depleted by nursing home care costs, so that your assets can be preserved for the next generation.
We look forward to serving your needs. Please feel free to call us or click here to get started.
